Product Description

Restoring Margin:

Margin is the space between you and your limits. Margin is having breath left at the top of the stairs, money left at the end of the month and sanity at the end of the day. We live in an era of unprecedented progress and that's both good and bad, because progress is the enemy of margin. We have more (in material terms) than any other generation and yet we are no happier, content or healthier. We have to stop living at our limits and restore margins to our lives.

The Power of a Positive No:

The older we get the more difficult we seem to find it to say 'no' to people. When we really mean 'no' but say 'yes' we create unnecessary consequences, that whether we wanted to or not, now have to be managed. Every living cell and organism has a 'no' built into it, to protect it from disease and infection 'no' saves lives and protects values and interests. At the heart of our reluctance to say 'no' is the dilemma of how to say it without damaging our relationship with the person we are saying 'no' to. This teaching, based on Paul's letter to Titus in which he said, 'the grace of God teaches us to say no,' is aimed at helping us all to get better at saying 'no' but saying it really well.

The Tyranny of Things:

With success and prosperity comes more responsibility. More things requiring our attention and more stuff to think and even worry about.

The tyranny of things is about alerting God's people to the dangers of neglecting our walk with God because we become so blessed.

The more hectic our lives, the more we start to live from our heads instead of our hearts.

When we stop listening to our hearts we start to drift from God.
